Important Notice: If your address is outside the Kingsland or St. Marys city limits, but adjacent to the city limit boundary, it is recommended that you register with both that city’s CodeRED system and the county’s CodeRED system. This will ensure receipt of all alerts that may affect you or your property. Woodbine residents will automatically receive alerts from the county’s code red system once registered.

Purpose

The CodeRED Emergency Notification System is a high volume - high speed Communication Service available for mass Emergency Notifications. CodeRED employs a one-of-a-kind Internet mapping capability for geographic targeting of calls, coupled with a high speed telephone calling system capable of delivering customized pre-recorded emergency messages directly to homes and businesses at the rate of up to 60,000 calls per hour.

Recent CodeRED Changes

Recently, there was a change to the short code (number) from which you receive CodeRED SMS text message and Weather Warning messages, to 76993.

No action is required to continue receiving CodeRED messages, but if you have CodeRED saved as a contact in your phone, you may want to update it to the new number (76993).
